Co E 407th Infantry Regiment/ 102th Infantry Division/ Attached to the 9th Army.
Basic training at Ft. Benning, GA. Purdue University, basic engineering.
Camp Swift, TX; Ft. Dix, NJ; Camp Kilmore, NJ; Troop ship, landing in Cherborg, France; moved to the front inside the Germany border; a week R & R in
Holland; back to Puffendorf, toward the front & attacked a village on the Roer River; wounded and evacuated to hospital in UK. With replacement depots back into France and attached to an Anti-aircraft battalion. To
the coast of France and guarded prisoners of war; Port of Embarkation, Camp Herbert Carrington; took ship and landed at NY City. Went to Camp Kilmore, then to Wisconsin. Discharged. Received the Purple Heart.

Enlisted in Army in 1975. Basic training at Ft. Leonardwood, MO; Delta Co.
Platoon I.
Stationed at Ft. Benning, GA; HSC 1/29th Inf., Kelly Hill.
Michigan Army National Guard.
Tennessee Army National Guard 181st FA 196th BN, attached to 24th Infantry; SSG.
Called to active duty December 1, 1990. Left from Chattanooga, TN; to Ft. Campbell, KY, then to Saudi Arabia. Went into Iraq. Transported home May, 1991.
Received Bronze Star & other medals and accommodations.
Retired after 21 years of service.
