Will of Josiah Kenison

I Josiah Kenison of Meigsville Township County of Morgan and
State of Ohio, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound and
disposing mind and memory, do make and declare this to be my last will and
testament. First after the discharge of my legal debts, and other expenses, ne-
cessarily incurred during my life and at my decease, I will and bequeath
to my wife Jane Kennison all my personal property, all money, goods
chattels and moveable effects to be held owned possessed and in any man-
ner disposed of and bequeathed by her. 2nd I will and bequeath that my
wife Jane Kenison shall have the use and exclusive privilege of all my
real or landed property, during the period of her natural life or widowhood
3rd I will and bequeath that at the decease of my wife Jane Kenison my real or land-
ed property shall be equally divided or disposed of and divided among my children
share and share and share a like viz: To Jane Roe, formerly Jane Kenison, To
Nancy Stevens formerly Nancy Kenison, to Thuriza Osborn, fornerly Thuria Ken
ison, to Polly Fulton, formerly Polly Kension, to Belinda Stevens formerly Belin-
da Kenison, to Lydia Kenison Isaiah Kenison, Asnath Kenison Rachel
Kenison, Seth Kenison and Asa Kenison. Given under my hand and seal this
7th May, one thousand eight hundred and thirty three.

Proof of Will
The State of Ohio Court of Common Pleas, October Term A. D. 1860
Morgan County Monday, October 5, 1860
The last will and testament of Josiah Kenison late of Morgan Co. dec was
this day brought into open court and was proved by the oath of Thomas McGrath
and Thomas R. McGrath, the two subscribing witnesses thereto and it appear-
ing to the satisfaction of the court, that the said Josiah Kenison at the time of exe-
cuting said will was of full age and of sound mind and memory, and not un-
der any restraint and that they subscribed said will as witnesses in his presence
and at his request. It is ordered that said will and proof thereof be recorded.
