Bee Bell Knapp was born in 1896 and died in 1994 at the age of 97. He was a story teller. We never tired of hearing his tales from the homestead days. He told a story in such a way that the listener could see the events unfold before their eyes. He spoke with a lift in his voice and a twinkle in his eye. Truly those days have past. Even now, my eyes shed a tear as I think of him and wonder what stories he may have left untold. I miss him dearly, but I can still read his stories and the picture he painted with words is just as vivid today in my imagination.
