Mrs. Margaret Anne Knapp, 85, of LaFayette, GA, died Friday, Sept. 27, 1991. Mrs. Knapp was the former Margaret Anne Cody, daughter of the late John J. and Lulu Spencer Cody. Born in Butte, MT, she moved to Henry County in 1953. She attended Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church and was a member of the Mt. Bethel United Methodist Women.
For the past six years, she and her husband Mr. Bee B. Knapp, had made their home in LaFayette with their daughter and son-in-law, Rev. and Mrs. Robert Ward of LaFayette.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 30, 1991 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home in Covington, with Rev. Howard Bledsoe officiating. Interment was in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
Survivors in addition to her husband and her daughter, Mrs. Jean Ward of LaFayette include another daughter, Mrs. Betty K. Clark of Martinez, CA; a son, Don Knapp of Watkinsville, GA; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
Arrangements in LaFayette were made by Wallis and son Funeral Home.
