Death of Mrs. Louisiana Rowe

Mrs. Louisiana Rowe died at the home of her son, S.W.S. Rowe in Sidney Thursday morning, December 4, at nine o’clock.

Louisiana Stevens was born Oct. 1, 1840, in Athens county, Ohio. She moved with her parents to Danville, Iowa, in 1846, afterwards moving to New London, Henry county, this state. She became a member of the Methodist church at fifteen years of age and remained faithful until called home.

At the age of eighteen she was married to John Rowe, who died four years ago. Immediately after her marriage she became a resident of Fremont county and has lived here ever since. Mrs. Rowe was the mother of twelve children of whom six are now living: S.W.S. Rowe and Mrs Lennie Hickey of this place, John Rowe of Casey, Iowa, Mrs. Estella Hannum of Wakita, Okla., Mrs. Dollie Myers of Oronogo, Mo., and Chas. D. Rowe of Woodward, Okla. Funeral this afternoon at two o’clock from the Methodist church. Interment in Sidney cemetery.

The son of Edward and Harriett Porter Haacke (Hickey).

Lenna M. Rowe- born Sept 30, 1888 died April 4, 1926 in Henry County IA.

The daughter of John and Louisiana Stevens Rowe.

John married Vera Savidge, David married Anne Wilson, Lucy married Warren Booton (Booten),

                                    Myrtle married Leo Guinotte
