Funeral services for John Joseph Cody were held October 4 from the Catholic church at Sandpoint and burial was in the Pine Crest cemetery. The Moon mortuary had charge.

        John Joseph Cody was born March 30, 1852 and in 1888 he married Lula M. Spencer.

        Strong and active until the end, Cody acquired a large number of friends who will miss him greatly.

        Besides his widow he leaves to mourn his loss two sons, George and John, and two daughters, Mrs. P. A. York of Kent, Wash., and Mrs. B. B. Knapp of Menan, Idaho.
