Funeral services were held on Monday, April 3 at 2 p.m. for Charles C. Brannin, 80, who died Friday morning at the Pioneer Nursing Home. Services were at Lowry Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Nilsen of the Lutheran Church officiating. Music was by Miss Deborah Lowry, organist and Mrs. Margaret Busha and Mrs. A. Ron McDonnell, who sang, "Rock of Ages," and "Beyond the Sunset." Pall bearers were James E. Brannin, Edwin R. Brannin, Robin P. Cosgriff, Ralph E. Cosgriff, Lewis Brannin and Stanton Brannin. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery.
He was born *April 8, 1891 in Grant County, New Mexico, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanton S. Brannin. In 1895 he came with his parents to Lewis and Clark county. The family moved to a ranch in Sweet Grass Canyon above Melville in 1904 and here Mr. Brannin resided until the ranch was sold in 1958. He had previously been a patient in a Livingston Rest Home, moving to the Pioneer Nursing Home in May, 1970.
Survivors include two brothers, Barney Brannin of Big Timber, and Sidney Brannin of Port Angeles Washington; a sister, Mrs. John Hoyem of Big Timber; also numerous nieces and nephews.
