Mr. Bee Bell Knapp, 97, LaFayette, died at his residence Wednesday, May 25.
He was a World War I Veteran, seeing service overseas. He was a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church in McDonough and was a lifetime member of American legion of Henry County, Georgia.
He was the son of the late Charles D. and Florence Knapp and was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Knapp, one sister and three brothers.
Survivors include a son, Don Knapp, Watkinsville; two daughters, Jean Ward of LaFayette and Betty Clark of Martinez, Calif.; sister, Evelyn Spaller, Brooks; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Caldwell and Cowen Funeral Home in Covington at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Howard E. Bledsoe officiating. Burial was in Lawn Wood Memorial Park in Newton County. Pallbearers were grandsons.
