Ladies of Legacy
These ladies are heroes in my eyes.
They represent the great heritage that has been
passed down to all of us. Many of these women
were pioneers and helped to shape the west. They
endured many hardships to make sure their families
were cared for. Some even tanned hides in order to
provide clothing for their youngsters. Azuba Brewer was
left a widow after her husband was killed in the civil war. She
raised 8 children by herself on a very meager pension. Guadelupe
protected her children from Apache Indians. And the stories
go on.....
