Lora Violet Dyrdahl

Lora Violet Dyrdahl, age 86, died Tuesday, January 22, 1991, at the Phillips County Good Samaritan Center in Malta where she has been a resident since April of 1988.
She was born July 12, 1904, in Lockridge, Oklahoma, to Claude and Pansy (Robinson) McNeil. She came to Phillips County in 1912 to the First Creek area which is now known as the Regina area south of Malta. She attended rural schools. In 1925, she married Carl Blunt. In 1942, she worked at the Phillips County Hospital. May 13, 1942, she married Arvid Dyrdahl in Havre. They farmed and ranched in Loring and then moved to South Wagner in 1948. In 1971, they moved to Malta. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Friendly Neighbors Club in South Wagner, and was a 4-H Leader.
Survivors include her husband, Arvid of Malta; three daughters, Joyce Flesche of Malta, and Betty Kesler and Donna Dyrdahl both of Choteau; two half brothers, Alfred and Clarence Blunt both of Malta; a sister, Velma Bean of Chino Valley, Arizona; two half-sisters, Marie Wasson of Malta and Grace Helman of Seattle, Washington; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
