Petition For Letters of Administration

for estate of William Henry Knapp

 

 

 

 

To the Honorable J. B. Clausse

Judge of the County Court of Richardson Co. Neb.

 

The petition of the undersigned Hanna Knapp respectfully represents: That William H. Knapp late of the County of Richardson, aforesaid, departed this life near Stella in said county, on or about the 12 day of Feb, 1887, leaving no last will and testament, as far as your petitioner knows or believes. And this petition shows that said William H. Knapp died siezed and possessed of real and personal estate, consisting chiefly of farm lands, stock, farming implements all of said personal estate being estimated to be worth about Seven hundred Dollars; that deceased left surviving him, your petitioner his wife and Annie Smith, M. W., Eli, Mollie, Frances, Robert and Charles, Knapp children, as heirs. That your petitioner being the widow of said deceased, and believing that said estate should be immediately administered, as well for the proper management of said estate, as for the proper collection of the assets, by virtue of her right under the statute, therefore prays that y our Honor will grant letters of administration to H. M. Conner in the premises, upon his taking the oath prescribed by the Statute and entering into bond in such sum and with such securities as may be approved by your Honor. And I do hereby release and relinquish all right and title to act as said Administrator.
